Practical tips to make the most of your experience
For high-altitude tours (Pico Tunari, Philla), rest in Cochabamba at least 1 day before. Avoid alcohol and eat light.
Always bring enough water. At altitude the body dehydrates faster. Minimum 2 liters for long tours.
Mountain weather changes quickly. Wear layers you can add/remove. Rain jacket always recommended.
High-altitude sun is intense. Use SPF 50+, sunglasses and hat or cap on all tours.
Bring a portable charger. Photos and GPS drain battery fast. You don't want to miss the summit sunset.
Rural areas have no ATMs. Bring cash for souvenirs, tips and personal expenses.
We recommend having insurance covering adventure activities and high-altitude evacuation.
Weekend and high-season tours fill up fast. Book at least 48 hours ahead.
